After reading about 'Nature Deficit Disorder' in Richard Louv's Last Child in the Woods, I knew I wanted to do something to raise awareness for this issue. It was around the same time I learnt that my friend, Mia, was a green witch - a sort of pagan who believes in the magic of nature. This project quickly evolved into a magazine article about these witches, and how their beliefs protect them from NDD.
